I have some exciting news to share regarding an upcoming show in Canada! From 4 March to 28 April 2026, a selection of my paintings will be on display at the Donna Child Fine Art Gallery in Toronto as part of a group exhibition titled Works to Celebrate: Women in Contemporary Art Practice.

This exhibition is timed to coincide with International Women’s Day. The gallery has put together a collection that highlights a wide range of styles and media and I'm so happy to have my work included in the line-up!

The Logistics of an International Show

Living and working in Spain means that my paintings often travel much further than I do. As the only artist in this particular show based outside of Canada, I will not be able to attend the opening celebration in person. It is always a bit strange to think of my work hanging on a gallery wall thousands of miles away while I am in the studio, but it is a process I have become quite used to.

These pieces continue to focus on the textures and layers that define my current practice and whilst I can't be there to discuss the work over a drink, I hope the paintings speak for themselves.

A Hint of Gold

For this exhibition, I have continued to work with mixed media, incorporating acrylics, pastels and also some gold leaf in the seascapes, to create pieces that change slightly depending on how the light hits them in the gallery.

Thank you to Donna Child and her team for the invitation to show in Toronto again. It is a great opportunity to connect with a Canadian audience, even from across the Atlantic!
