Turquoise, teal and gold leaf! That's been very much the dominant theme of my large abstract landscapes at Tavira D'Artes gallery, based in the Algarve, Portugal.

Inspired by the beautiful coastline of the Algarve, in particular the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, I've worked with the gallery since 2020 and they continue to exhibit a continually updated collection of both my abstract figurative and larger abstract landscape work

I began working with this beautiful palette, albeit in a more abstract context, after first discovering the gorgeous mineral-rich rivers in the central mountain ranges of Spain. It wasn't until I first visited the Algarve back in 2017, however, when I started applying it to my seascapes too.
