Contemplating the view of the port in the distance, as I waited for an appointment, I couldn't help but be somewhat impressed by Man's dominance here over nature. Solid walls and rusty moorings, pounded by generations of men, boats and tides, and everything was calm. The start and finish of uncountable journeys on the edge of something vast.
