(Moments of Stillness)
Boats have always felt like a sanctuary to me - a place of quiet refuge, gently held by the water. In this painting, I wanted to capture that sense of safety and peacfulness, the way boats rest when the tide is low, suspended between journeys. The horizon stretches endlessly, dividing earth and sky with a hush, while the muted tones of sand, sea, and fading light create a solitude that feels comforting rather than lonely. Their weathered hulls, simplified to their essential forms, are shaped as much by the space around them as by their quiet presence.
80 x 80cm (approx. 32" x 32")
The painting is stretched on a 3.5cm deep (1.5") wooden frame and continues around the sides, is varnished, wired ready for hanging and is signed on the front and back.
Sold unframed.
