As I walked beside the lake, a break in the reeds provided a forgotten glimpse of our beautiful world.  
 
I've always loved being beside water. I grew up splashing in my grnadfather's lily-covered fishponds and that sensation of sitting quietly on the bank, just enjoying being there simply to listen, to observe and to feel that I am a part of something beautiful has never left me.
 
This original artwork uses a unique combination of acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels with gold leaf on a 3cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are layered with gold leaf, complimenting the touches of gold within the main painting. Framing is not required. The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity. (The frame in the in-context views is for illustration purposes only)
