Mixed media using gold leaf on canvas
I wanted to capture a sense of the pleasure of green. Whilst living in Poland, England and Switzerland, I used to take the greenery in my surroundings for granted, however, by the end of summer here in central Spain, green begins to feel very luxurious and something to be cherished.
This original painting uses a unique combination of gold leaf, acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are painted black, giving this artwork a highly contemporary finish. Framing is not required.
The artwork is signed on the front.
