A journey through the incredible scenery of northern Spain compelled Magdalena into experimenting with ways to capture the interactions between the sun, mountains and ephemeral mists.
 
A sheet of silk glued onto the canvas provides the background texture for this work, whilst layers of acrylics, gold leaf and watercolours build up the scene.
