Mixed media using gold leaf on box canvas

Sitting on the water's edge in the middle of the night, listening to the gentle lapping of waves against the shore whilst watching the moon rise. It's amazing how the colours resolve themselves after being there for a while! 

This original composition uses a unique combination of gold leaf, acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are painted black, giving this artwork a highly contemporary finish. Framing is not required. 

The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity.
