The reflections on the water on that warm afternoon drew my thoughts towards the the lilies floating serenely on the surface. Their simple elegance is always entrancing, crowns of petals surrounded by their mantel of glossy green leaves. 
 
This original artwork uses a unique combination of acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The painting continues around the sides of the canvas, giving this artwork a highly unique and contemporary finish.
