Summer brings back memories of a childhood spent playing for hours on end beside the ponds in the cool shade of the willows. We used to catch the frogs hiding under the waterlily pads by "fishing" for them with small buttons tied to the end of a string on a stick, just to enjoy watching them dive gracefully back into the cool water.
 
I wanted to bring some of my floral techniques into the more abstract waterscapes that I've been painting recently.
 
This original artwork uses a unique combination of acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are painted black, giving this artwork a highly contemporary finish. Framing is not required. The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity.

El verano trae recuerdos de una infancia jugando durante horas y horas al lado de los estanques en la fresca sombra de los sauces. Solíamos atrapar a las ranas que se escondían debajo de las almohadillas de nenúfar "pescando" para ellas con pequeños botones atados al final de una cuerda en un palo, sólo para disfrutar de verlos zambullirse graciosamente en el agua fría.

Quería traer algunas de mis técnicas florales a los acuarios más abstractos que he estado pintando recientemente.

Esta obra de arte original utiliza una combinación única de pinturas y pasteles acrílico y acuarela en una lona envuelta galería, 3.5cm de profundidad. La obra está firmada en la parte delantera y con un certificado de autenticidad.
