Some scenes just draw you back, again and again. This is the second time I've visited this spot in my paintings and it was as pleasurable this time as it was the first. It draws on memories we made over the summer of a spot by a river in the mountains behind Cuenca, in central Spain. Clear, cool, deep blue waters reflecting the trees on the opposite bank, inviting us to dive in.
